The FarmLand is a South African agricultural venture built from real farming experience, practical learning and a belief that ethical poultry farming can create both impact and opportunity.
The FarmLand began the way real poultry businesses do — with a flock, hard work and a willingness to learn. We built our operation from the ground up, raised our birds through the seasons, and developed our egg brand, Eggs from Dorothy & The Girls.
Led by Dr Caroline Gwangwa, our journey has been shaped by real decisions, real mornings and real lessons — the kind that only come from experience.
Today, that experience is the foundation of everything we share with aspiring poultry entrepreneurs.

Dorothy & The Girls taught us more than any book could. Through them, we learned about production, responsibility, resilience and the daily realities of caring for a flock.
It remains part of the foundation of our story and continues to shape how we think about responsible farming, practical knowledge and the future of poultry in Africa.
Aspiring poultry entrepreneurs kept asking us the same questions. That curiosity inspired us to turn what we learned into practical learning products — not from theory, but from real experience on the farm.
